Some are competitive and some are non-competitive. Level 1and 2 are non-competitive whereas level 3-10 are competing ones.

Level 3,4 5,6 are the compulsory levels in gymnastics. The athlete needs to maintain their position for compiling the levels.

The first 1-3 levels are known as “Early abilities”. This is the first level where gymnastics are prepared. On this state many clubs offering gymnasts in recreational classes to learn their skills.

This level focuses on skills like jumping, stretching, rolls, and simple discounts. In level1 you should know the punch, hand stops, pivot spins, and straight jumps, etc.

Gymnastics Level 4 is the advancement of going to level 5. In this athletes should know how to do stretching and astride jumps. On this level some academics offering to choose programs.

It also includes a leg leap with 20-degree separation. The athlete is required to meet the minimum standards and earn a mobility score. Some optional rules are available at level 4-6. On level 5 many gymnasts struggle with mount into the beam.

In level 6-10 it’s optional. This optional means that are skill required base. The gymnasts perform her own choreography. To jump further level you should know partial handstand, cartwheels, and split jumps.

Level 7,8,9,10 they create their routine on their way. One gymnast can perform all the needed skills at level 10 so she/he can choose to try Elite programs which allow them to go on Olympic or professional events. And go for further advanced development for an athlete.

Gymnastic Levels Guide:

  1. On level 7 gymnasts perform five A skills and two B skills.
  2. On level 8 they should have four A and four B skills in daily routines.
  3. On level 9 gymnasts perform three A and four B and one C skills.
  4. On level 10 gymnasts must do three A and three B and two C skills.
  5. Level 7 and 8 gymnasts cannot perform E skills.
  6. Level 1 skills generally remain the same with rules.
  7. You should not skip any level this means that to qualify for 3 levels it’s important for success.
  8. To do level 2, an athlete must be at least 5-years old.
  9. You need to take proper measurements of food and other health developments.
